DHAKA, Dec 8, 2024 (BSS) - Seven more dengue patients died and 596 patients 
were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the last 24 hours.

"During the period, 98 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka north city, 
130 in Dhaka south city, 136 in Dhaka division (outside of the city 
corporations), 31 in Barishal division, 67 in Chattogram division, 72 in 
Khulna division, 32 in Rajshahi division, 20 in Mymensingh division, eight in 
Rangpur division and two in Sylhet division," said a press release issued by 
the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

This year, a total of 529 people died of dengue disease, it added.

Meanwhile, 765 dengue patients have been discharged from different hospitals 
across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 93,467 
patients have been discharged this year.
