Radicals of Indian ruling party spreading hate speech against Bangladesh: Rizvi

DHAKA, Dec 08, 2024 (BSS)- BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has claimed that some radical leaders of the Indian ruling party are spreading hate speech and anti-Bangladesh remarks.

"Those anti-Bangladesh elements have no fraternity for the people of Bangladesh. Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and even a small island nation Maldives don’t have any good relation with them,” he said.

Rizvi was addressing a rally in front the party’s Naya Paltan central office here prior to inaugurating a procession towards the Indian High Commission (IHC) here today.

BNP’s three associate bodies- Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal jointly arranged the procession.

Rizvi said although India claims to be a secular country but they are radical Hindutavadi inside.

Referring to the murder of a lawyer in the Chattogram court premises, he said a Bangladeshi citizen belong to Muslim community was killed, but India is not saying anything on the issue.

“Rather, India is spreading blatant lies claiming minority repression in Bangladesh to confuse the world,” he said adding that “it will not bring any benefit for them.”

The BNP leader said India has curtailed visa issuance for Bangladeshis which actually is helping Bangladesh to save its hard earned foreign exchange.

“Bangladeshi farmers from now will grow more rice, onion, ginger and other products to fulfill their demands and reduce dependence on Indian commodities,” he said.

Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna chaired the rally which was conducted by Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.

Swechchhasebak Dal President SM Jilani, General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, Jubo Dal General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan and Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib spoke on the occasion.

After the rally, thousands of leaders and activists of the three organizations started marching for Indian embassy in Dhaka at Baridhara.
