DHAKA, Dec 10, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that weather may remain mainly dry over the country for the next 24 hours begins from this morning.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country", said the forecast that begins from 9am.
The low-pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas persists. Its associated trough extends up to North Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining area.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during late night till morning.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 29.6 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded 13.1degree Celsius at Badalgachhi. Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6.00 am today was recorded 01 millimeters (mm) jointly at Rajshahi, Tarash and Baghabari.
Night temperature may fall by (1-2)øC and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The sunset today at 05:12 PM rises tomorrow at 06:31 AM in the capital.
