MANIKGANJ, Dec 11, 2024(BSS) - The ferry movement resumed in between Paturia-
Daulatdia after 8.45 hours suspension due to dense fog, Bangladesh Inland
Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia- Ghat sources said.

The Deputy General Manager (DGM) BIWTC Paturia Ghat Nasir Mahmud Chowdhury
said BSS the ferry movement was suspended at 12.30 am for poor visibility as
the dense fog blanketed the river bed, adding that the ferry movement resumed
at 9.00 am on Wednesday.

BIWTC sources said about 150 vehicles including passenger bus, Private car
and goods laden trucks were waiting for ferrying at both the side of the
Padma.

Two ferries Shah Ali and Dhanshiri were anchored in the middle of the Jamuna
River with vehicles and passengers.

DGM also said all the ferries are running now normally.
