ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, KUSHTIA, Dec 11, 2024 (BSS) - The Department of Information and Communication Technology of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia today arranged a programming contest among its students. 

The competition was arranged in line with International Collegiate Programming Contest's standard with a view to inspiring and motivating students for the competitive world.

Chairman of the department, Professor Dr Alamgir Hossain inaugurated the event while Professor Dr Paresh Chandra Barman, Professor Dr Tarek Hasan Al Mahmud and Associate Professor Kazi Mowdud Ahmed were present. 
A total 31 teams participated in the three-hour contest. 

According to the highest number of problem solver teams in least time, they were ranked and awarded prizes.
