DHAKA, Dec 11, 2024 (BSS) - The Aviation Basic Course-13 conducted under the overall supervision of Aviation School under Army Aviation Group was held at Army Aviation in the Dhaka Cantonment here today.
Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the concluding ceremony of the Aviation Basic Course-13 as the chief guest and distributed certificates among the young pilots who were adorned with the flying brevets, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release this evening.
Starting on July 16, 2023, a total of 24 young officers, including 18 people from Army, four people from Navy and two others from Bangladesh Police took part in this course, it said.
Initiated with the motto 'Gati O Nipunta (Speed and Precision)’, the only aviation institution of the Bangladesh Army, the Army Aviation Group has been conducting flying training for young military and police officers since its inception on January 01, 1978.
Among all the trainees, Fixed Wing A P.No-3516 Lt. Adnan Rakib, (X), BN; Rotary Wing A BA-10185 Captain Abdullah Al Hasib, AC and UAV Regiment A BA-10095 Captain M Fahim-Al-Zaman, EME bagged the distinction of Best Airmen, the ISPR added.
Chief of General Staff of Bangladesh Army, Commandant of National Defense College, Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division, Quartermaster General, Inspector General of Bangladesh Police and other dignitaries, including senior officers of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Police, invited guests and media people were present in the concluding session.
