DHAKA, Dec 11, 2024 (BSS) – A training programme on Ethical Research and Implementation for Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Faculty was held at Basic Science and Paraclinical Science Building of the university here today.
BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Shahinul Alam was present at the training programme as the chief guest, a press release said.
The Department of Public Health and Informatics of BSMMU organized it.
Dean of the University M. Atiqul Haque and teachers of the Department of Public Health and Informatics Professor Dr Fariha Hasin, Professor Dr Md Zafar Khaled, Professor Dr Md Abu Taher and Dr Bushra were present.
Earlier, BSMMU, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), launched a faculty development training programme on ethical research and its implementation.
This initiative aims to enhance the research capacity of BSMMU faculty members, equipping them with essential knowledge of principles of research ethics, informed consent and protection of participants, ethical challenges in research and integrating ethics into the research curriculum.
This skill will uphold the highest standards of ethical research.
This collaboration highlights BSMMU’s commitment to academic excellence and WHO's dedication to fostering global research ethics.
