DHAKA, Dec 12, 2024 (BSS)- Biman Bangladesh Airlines has successfully completed 12th IOSA audit and received the renewed IOSA registration certificate, valid until Dec 14, 2026. 

The audit was conducted from September 1 to 5, 2024, by a five-member team from Argos Pros, a USA-based IATA-accredited audit organization, a Biman’s press release said here today.

IOSA, a globally recognized evaluation system, assesses the operational management and control systems of airlines and is conducted in every two years.

As a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Biman must maintain IOSA registration to retain its membership. 

Additionally, IOSA certification is considered a prerequisite for code share agreements with other airlines, and in some countries, it’s mandatory for obtaining operational licenses.

Dr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of Biman said, IOSA registration will enhance Biman’s reputation, build customer confidence, strengthen Biman’s ability to access in new markets and build up business partnership.
