DHAKA, Dec 12, 2024 (BSS) - Five more dengue patients died and 344 patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours.

"During the period, 96 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka north city, 70 in Dhaka south city, 44 in Dhaka division (outside of the city corporations), 41 in Barishal division, 51 in Chattogram division, 41 in Khulna division, 19 in Rajshahi division, seven in Mymensingh division and two in Rangpur division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

This year, a total of 541 people died of dengue disease, it added.

Meanwhile, 415 dengue patients have been discharged from different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 95,566 patients have been discharged this year.
