DHAKA, Dec 13, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today
forecasted that mild cold wave is sweeping over the north and north-western
part of the country and it may continue.
"Mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Panchagarh, Rajshahi and
Chuadanga and it may continue," said the forecast for the next 24 hoursbegins from 9am today.
Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country,according to the forecast.
Night and day temperature may fall slightly over the country, it added.
The well-marked low over the Southwest Bay off Sri Lanka coast weakened into
a low pressure area over Gulf of Mannar and adjoining area and became unimportant.
Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, its associated trough extends up to the
North Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends upto West Bengal and adjoining area.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight
till noon.
Country's highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 29.3 degree Celsius at
Teknaf and today's minimum temperature 08.4 degree Celsius was recorded at
Tetulia.
The sun sets at 05.13pm today and rises at 06.33am tomorrow in the capital.
