8 trains to ply on Dhaka-Joydebpur section from Dec 15

DHAKA, Dec 13, 2024 (BSS)- Bangladesh Railway (BR) has decided to ply eight commuters train between Dhaka and Joydebpur section from Sunday for smooth travel of the daily commuters.

BR sources said, four pairs of trains will ply on the route with stoppage at Tejgaon, Banani, Airport Station, Tongi and Dhirasram stations.

Director (Public Relations) of BR Md Nahid Hasan said the eight trains to ply on the route are- Turag Commuter-1, Turag-2, Turag-3, Turag-4, Joydebpur Commuter-1, Joydebpur-2, Joydebpur-3 and Joydebpur-4.

He said Turag Commuter-1 will leave Kamalapur station at 5 am, which will reach at Joydebpur station at 6 am giving two stoppages at Airport and Tongi stations.

According to the schedule, Joydebpur Commuter-1 will leave Kamalapur station at 5:25 am and reach Joydebpur at 6:25 by taking stoppage at Tejgaon, Airport and Tongi station.

Turag Commuter-2 is scheduled to leave Joydebpur section at 6:30 am and reach Kamalapur station at 7:40 am giving stoppage at Dhirasram, Tongi, Airport, Banani and Tejgaon station.

Like this, Joydebpur Commuter-2 will leave Joydebpur station at 7:10 am and reach Kamalapur station at 8:25 am. It will take stop at Tongi, Airport, Banani and Tejgaon station.

Joydebpur Commuter-3 train is scheduled to leave Kamalapur station at 11:00 am and to reach Joydebpur at 12:00 noon and giving stoppage at Tejgaon, Banani, Airport and Tongi station.

Joydebpur Commuter-4 will leave Joydebpur at 12:30 pm and reach Kamalapur station at 1:40 pm giving stoppage at Tongi, Airport, Banani and Tejgaon stations.

Turag Commuter-3 train is scheduled to leave Kamalapur station at 5:20 pm and reach at Joydebpur station at 6:40 pm with stoppages at Tejgaon, Banani, Airport, Tongi and Dhirasram station.

Turag Commuter-4 train will leave Joydebpur station at 9:45 pm and reach Kamalapur station at 11:15 pm with giving stoppage at Tongi, Airport and Tejgaon station.

However, the BR director said Turag commuter trains will remain close on Friday as weekly holiday while Joydebpur commuter trains on Saturday.
