DHAKA, Dec 15, 2024 (BSS) - A three-member BNP delegation led by BNP International Affairs Secretary Barrister Nasir Uddin Ahmed Ashim made a courtesy call on the president of Timor-Leste José Ramos -Horta today.

During the meeting at Hotel Sonargaon around 2pm, they discussed various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and East Timor, said BNP media cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan.

The other members of the BNP delegation were BNP acting chairman’s Education and Research Affairs Adviser Mahdi Amin and BNP central Executive Committee Member and President of Bangladesh Football Federation Tabith Awal.

A special Singapore Airlines flight carrying the Timor-Leste president and his entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) here around 10.40 pm last night.

Chief Adviser Prof Yunus received him at the airport.
