DHAKA, Dec 16, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted that weather may remain dry for the next 24 hours over the country from 9am.
"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country," said a Met Office release.
Ridge of sub-continental high extends upto West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, its associated trough extends up to North Bay. A low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.
Night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during midnight till morning.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 30.0 degrees celsius at Sitakunda and minimum temperature today was recorded 09.2 degrees celsius at Srimangal.
The sun sets today at 05.15pm today and rises at 06.35am tomorrow in the capital.
