DHAKA, Dec 16, 2024 (BSS) - Dhaka District Administration today hosted a reception for 135 Freedom Fighters at Deputy Commissioner's office here on the occasion of Great Victory Day.

Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Tanvir Ahmed was present at the function as the chief guest while District Superintendent of Police Ahmed Mueed as the special guest.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Fuara Khatun, Deputy Director of Local Government Md.

 Iqbal Hossain and Civil Surgeon of Dhaka District Dr. Mohammad Zillur Rahman took part in the discussion while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Shoaib Shat-il Ivan and Assistant Commissioner Nusrat Nausheen conducted the function.
 
Earlier, the Victory Day’s programmes began with the hoisting of the national flag.

 Later, a Victory Fair was inaugurated there by releasing pigeons and balloons.

Officials from government and private offices and students of various educational institutions were present at the function.
