DHAKA, Dec 16, 2024 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Navy today celebrated the 54th Victory Day in a befitting manner in all its regions.

On the occasion, all mosques under the region of the Bangladesh Navy offered special munajat after Johr prayers, seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of all martyrs of the Great War of Liberation in 1971, said an ISPR press release.

The regional commander of Khulna of the Bangladesh Navy presented a guard of honour to the graves of Bir Sreshatha Shaheed Ruhul Amin and Bir Bikram Shaheed Mohibullah and placed wreaths on the occasion.

Besides, the Bangladesh Navy kept warships at different ports and jetties across the country open to visitors marking Victory Day.

The Navy also sought progress and prosperity for the country.
