DHAKA, Dec 17, 2024 (BSS) - The automation activities and yearbook of the Neonatology Department of BSMMU have been inaugurated today.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research Development) of the university Prof Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman Howlader was the chief guest at the programme, organised by the Neonatology Department at the classroom of the department in C Block.

Treasurer Prof Dr. Nahrin Akhtar and former Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Md. Shahidullah were present as the special guests.

Chairman of the Neonatal Medicine Department Prof Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan presided over the event while Prof Dr Sanjay Kumar Dey and Child Neurology Department teacher Dr. Kaniz Fatema, among others, were present.

Dr  Mujibur Rahman Howlader said, "Importance should be given to ensure that researches that are conducted at BSMMU are used for the needs of patients." The university’s Neonatology Department is making a unique contribution to research, he said, adding that the Neonatology Department has contribution to the research work of the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontic.
