KHULNA, Dec 20, 2024 (BSS) - The July Shaheed Smrity Foundation (JSSF) today handed over cheques to the family members of around 58 martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the mass uprising.
 
A total of Taka 2.9 crore was distributed among the families of 58 martyrs from the anti-discrimination student movement across 10 districts of the Khulna division, with each family receiving Taka 5 lakh. 

The cheques were distributed at a programme held at Khulna District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium.
 
General Secretary of the July Martyred Shaheed Smrity Foundation Sarjish Alam and Central Coordinators Tariqul Islam, Ashrofa Khatun and Wahiduzzaman were present on the occasion.

Chief Executive Officer of the July Martyred Shaheed Smrity Foundation Meer Mahbubur Rahman welcomed the family members of the martyrs.
 
Commissioner of Khulna division Firoj Sarker, Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police Zulfiker Ali Haider, Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police of Khulna Range Muhammad Hasanuzzaman,
Deputy Commissioner of Khulna Muhammad Saiful Islam and Superintendent of Police Mosharraf Hossain were also present.
