DHAKA, Dec 21, 2024 (BSS) -The 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of 
Bangladesh Women's Health Coalition (BWHC) was held at BWHC Bhaban here 
today.

Presided over by BWHC Chairperson Jahanara Sadeq, executive committee members 
and 13 general members participated in the meeting, a press release said.

In the meeting, BWHC Treasurer Kamrun Nahar presented the audit report of 
2023 and budget of 2025.

The members present at the meeting unanimously approved the annual report-
2024, audit report-2023 and budget-2025.

The meeting also approved the formation of a 'Media Sub-Committee' to promote 
various programs of BWHC.

BWHC Vice Chairperson Kazi Ali Reza, renowned reproductive health 
epidemiologist Dr Halida Hanum Akhter, founder of Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik 
Kendra Nasimun Ara Haque Minu, special correspondent of The Financial Express 
Munima Sultana and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) senior sub-editor 
Shahnaj siddiqui were present in the meeting, among others.

BWHC was established in 1980. It is the first organization in the country 
that started working for establishing Sexual and Reproductive Health Services 
and Rights (SRH&R) for the deprived and underprivileged women and 
adolescents.
