DHAKA, Dec 21, 2024 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 22 people and recovered narcotics in various areas of the capital during anti-drug drives.

A DMP release today said that police recovered 4.90kg ganja, 197 pieces of yaba and 17.13 grams of heroin from their possessions  during the arrests.

As part of the DMP's regular anti-drug drive, they were arrested and recovered narcotics in various police stations of the capital from 6am on Friday to 6am today.

A total of 16 cases have been filed against the arrested people under the Narcotics Control Act at the relevant police stations.
