KHULNA, Dec 22, 2024 (BSS)- Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangladesh Mansour Chavoshi has said his country will remain beside Khulna University (KU) for flourishing its academic and research activities.

He expressed the pledge while visiting the KU and sharing views with its administration today at the invitation of KU Vice-chancellor Prof Rezaul Karim

Ambassador Mansour Chavoshi said Iran was beside the KU since its initial stage. Particularly, a modern language centre had been launched supported by Iran cultural centre. But the centre has been shut down later due to various reasons.  

He also said the Iranian universities will show interest to boost bilateral relations, collaboration and meaningful programmes with KU. Very soon, collaboration between KU and Iranian universities will be established.

In the view-sharing meeting at the conference hall of the administrative building, Pro-vice-chancellor Prof Harunor Rashid gave an illustration on KU along with its important features.

He said they are interested in collaboration with Iranian universities in the field of education and research.
