DHAKA, Dec 23, 2024 (BSS)- A Dhaka court today fixed January 27, 2025 for submitting the probe report on murder of journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Runi.

This is the 114th extension of the deadline for submission of the probe in the sensational murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sharifur Rahman has fixed the new date for submitting the report as the investigation agency RAB could not submit the report today.

Machranga Television news editor Sagar Sarowar and ATN Bangla senior reporter Meherun Runi were killed on February 11, 2012 in their rented flat at capital's West Razabazar.

Later, Nowsher Alam Roman, brother of Runi, filed a murder case with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station in this connection.
