Dr. Shafiqur for building Bangladesh as discrimination free country

GAIBANDHA, Dec 24, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman here today said in future Bangladesh would be a discrimination free country and there will be no religious differences between the majority and minority.

“Bribery and corruption should be eradicated from offices and courts. Extortion, occupation must be stopped. For this, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will give full cooperation to build a corruption free Bangladesh. Discrimination should be removed from all areas where there will be no inequality. All people will be known as citizen of the country,” he said. 

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said this while speaking as chief guest at a workers’ conference, organized by the district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on the ground of Islamia High School here. 

In the name of militancy, dramas have been made and many people have been killed in so called Ayenaghar and many others became victim of enforced disappearances in the last 15 years, he alleged. 

He said MPs were passed without the people’s vote.
He termed Sheikh Hasina’s government as fascist one and said the fascist government had destroyed the patriotic BDR. 

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also mentioned that there would be no division on the basis of religion. 

“If mosques of the country don't need to be guarded, then temples don't need to be guarded,” he added. 
If Jamaat comes to power, women’s dignity and security will be ensured appropriately, he declared. 

He demanded of the government to set up an agriculture university for the development of the district. 

Presided over by district Jamaat Ameer Abdul Karim, the function was also addressed among others, by assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Principal MaulanaMomtaz Uddin, Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, member of the Central Working Council and former Ameer of the District JamaatAbdur Rahim Sarker senior Naiyebe Ameer BirMuktijodha Abdul Wares Sarkar, district Secretary ZahurulHaque Sarkar and assistant Secretary Syed Roknuzzaman.
