DHAKA, Dec 26, 2024 (BSS) - Five multi-storey new buildings of government primary schools have been inaugurated in the capital.
Primary and Mass Education Adviser Prof. Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar inaugurated the new five newly constructed primary school buildings at a function held on the premises of Lalkuthi Government Primary School in Mirpur today.
Additional Director General (ADG) of the Department of Primary Education Abu Noor Md. Shamsuzzaman presided over the function while Secretary of the Primary and Mass Education Farid Ahmed, Additional Chief Engineer of Local Government Engineering Department, Md. Abdur Rashid and Project Director Md. Saifur Rahman, among others, spoke at the ceremony.
The five constructed primary school buildings are Lalkuthi Government Primary School in Mirpur Section No 1, Ananda Niketan Government Primary School in Mirpur Section No 7, Bhola Government Primary School at Alatunnessa High School in Badda, Paradgar Mannan Government Primary School in Demra and Munda Government Primary School at Masterbari Bazar, Gulshan.
The total cost for construction of these five buildings was Taka 27 crore 12 lakh 38 thousand. Four of the five buildings are six-storey and one is a four-storey with a six-storey foundation. There are a total of 116 rooms, including classrooms and teacher rooms.
The new school buildings have a total accommodation capacity of 4,000 students.
