DHAKA, Dec 27, 2024 (BSS) - A total of 53 dengue patients were admitted to
different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours.

"During the period, 18 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka north city,
seven in Dhaka south city, eight in Dhaka division (outside of the city
corporations), 12 in Chattogram division, two in Khulna division, two in
Rajshahi division, two in Mymensingh division, one in Rangpur division and
one in Sylhet division," said a press release issued by the Directorate
General of Health Services (DGHS).

This year, a total number of 1, 00,764 dengue patients admitted to hospital
while 563 people died of dengue disease, it added.

None died of dengue in last 24 hours.

A total of 99,425 dengue patients have been discharged so far this year.
