Interim govt wants to set a footprint for next govt: Salehuddin 

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 27, 2024 (BSS) - Finance Affairs Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today said the interim government wants to set a footprint for the next government as like a highway after a road.
 
"We have good understandings with countrymen what we are doing now. If next government will show its reluctance to work in accordance, people will compel them to do the job. The sky of Bangladesh will no longer be cloudy, it will spread light like the sun for everyone. If there was no corruption and political uncertainty, Bangladesh will move towards new height in global economy," he added.

Salehuddin, also Science and Technology affairs adviser, said these while exchanging views with the senior government officials of Chattogram at local circuit house this evening.

Divisional Commissioner Dr Ziauddin presided over the function while DIG of Police Ashan Habib Palash, CMP Commissioner Hasib Aziz, Chattogram Port Authority Chairman Rear Admiral Moniruzzaman, Additional Divisional Commissioner Anwar Pasha, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Sabbir Iqbal and Superintendent of district police Raihan Uddin, among others, spoke at the function.
 
Expressing his optimism on reaching Bangladesh's desired goal, Salehuddin said interim government is putting priority on bringing dynamism in trade and commerce aimed at uplifting economic and social status of commoners.
 
The adviser called upon authorities of all financial institutions through adoption with and optimum utilization of information technology to ensure betterment of the people.
 
Stressing importance on increased use of science and research, he said impact of the activities of the science and technology ministry should be transcended at all level of the society.

He urged to the government officials to extend their all out support to the interim government.

The finance adviser said the suitable working environment is being created at all level of the administration, creating scope for honest and competent civil servants to serve the nation.
