RANGPUR, Dec 28, 2024 (BSS) - A delegation of 'Amra BNP Paribar' today met 
family members of firefighter Sohanur Zaman Nayan, who died after being 
struck by a truck while working to douse a fire at the Secretariat in the 
capital early Thursday.

At the directive of BNP acting Chairman and chief patron of 'Amra BNP 
Paribar' Tarique Rahman, the delegation visited the house of the deceased 
Nayan in Atponia village of Mithapukur upazila in the district and conveyed a 
message of sympathy to the bereaved family on behalf of Tarique Rahman.

BNP's Rangpur Divisional Organising Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu, Convener of 
'Amra BNP Paribar' Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Rangpur district BNP Convener Saiful 
Islam, member secretary Anisur Rahman Laku and Mithapukur upazila BNP leaders 
were present, among the delegation.

Nayan's father Akhtaruzzaman expressed gratitude to the BNP acting chairman 
Tarique Rahman at the time.

Earlier, the delegation visited the grave of the deceased Nayan.
