DHAKA, Dec 28, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will give a new house to family of Golam Rabbani who was allegedly killed in crossfire of a law enforcement agency in Nilphamari in 2014.
A meeting was held at the district BNP party office on Friday night in Nilphamari to hand over the key of the newly built house to Rabbani's family on Monday, said a press release here today.
Tarique Rahman, also chief patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar' will hand over the key of the newly built house to family of BNP leader Golam Rabbani through video conference at 2pm on Monday.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Chief Adviser of 'Amra BNP Paribar' Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, 'Amra BNP Paribar' Adviser and BNP Treasurer M Rashiduzzaman Millat, party’s Organizing Secretary (Rangpur Division) Asadul Habib Dulu, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary and 'Amra BNP Paribar' Adviser Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul will also join the event.
'Amra BNP Paribar' convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon will chair the event.
BNP leader Golam Rabbani was killed in 2014. He was the organizing secretary of Lakshmichab Union BNP in Nilphamari Sadar.
At the directive of Tarique Rahman, a delegation of 'Amra BNP Paribar' will meet the families of martyrs of 2024 mass uprising in Nilphamari, Panchagarh and Dinajpur districts.
This programme will be held on the premises of Dubachuri Dimbukhi Dakhil Madrasa under Lakshmichab in Nilphamari district.
