DHAKA, Dec 28, 2024 (BSS) - Mujib Masud, special correspondent of the daily Jugantar and Moazzem Hossain Rokan, news editor and special correspondent of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), have been elected as president and general secretary respectively of Chittagong Journalists Forum-Dhaka (CJFD).

The committee has been declared for the next two-year term after the election held at CJFD office here.

Chief Election Commissioner and CJFD former president Anis Alamgir declared the committee with the presence of election commissioners Santhosh Sharma and Masumur Rahman Khalili.

The other executive committee members are: vice president Kashem Mahmud (BSS), joint general secretary Tareq Sikdar (Boishakhi TV), treasurer Towhidul Islam Rana, (Independent TV), publicity secretary Shahriar Hasan (Global TV), cultural secretary SM Zia, members Kamar Uddin (Chatgaon), Humayun Kabir (the daily Jugantar), Ummun Nahar Azmi (Independent TV) and Shipankar Shil (the daily Borer Akash).

Earlier, the 21st annual general meeting of CJFD was held with its president Mamun Abdullah in the chair. CJFD general secretary Towhidur Rahman conducted it.
