DHAKA, Dec 29, 2024 (BSS)- Two dengue patients died while 148 persons were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the last 24 hours.

"During the period, 18 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka north city, 25 in Dhaka south city, 26 in Dhaka division (outside city corporations), 14 in Barishal division, 27 in Chattogram division, 14 in Rajshahi division, 20 in Khulna division and four in Mymensingh division," said a press release of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the last 24 hours, 183 dengue patients across the country have been discharged from hospitals.

This year, a total of 1, 01,016 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals while 572 people died of the disease, it added.

A total of 99,761 dengue patients have been discharged after recovery this year.
