SATKANIA, Chattogram, Dec 31, 2024 (BSS)- After a long 23-week training,  695 new recruits of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have began their life as soldiers of the force with a formal oath-taking and passing out parade.

Of them, 649 male and 46 female recruits under the 102nd batch have successfully completed their basic training that began on July 30 last at the Border Guard Training Center and College.

The passing out parade of the new recruits began at the Bir Uttam Mojibur Rahman Parade Ground of the traditional training institution of the BGB, in Baitul Izzet, Satkania, Chittagong,  this morning.

Home Affairs Adviser Lt. Gen. Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.)  inspected the passing out parade as the chief guest.

BGB Director General (DG) Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui was present at the ceremony. Senior military and civilian officials were also present.
