DHAKA, Jan 10, 2025 (BSS) - Speakers at a discussion here today said former president of Oikya NAP Pankaj Bhattacharya had struggled throughout his life for establishing the rights of the exploited and deprived people of the society.
“Pankaj Bhattacharya had always raised his voice against injustice and he did not bow down to any evil forces,” said cultural personality Ramendu Majumdar said while speaking at a discussion at Bishwo Shahitto Kendro auditorium in the capital.
He also unveiled a book on Pankaj Bhattacharya memoirs “Amadere Loke” at the programme.
Former Prof of Dhaka University Dr. Syed Anwar Hussain, Trustee of the Liberation War Museum Dr Sarwar Ali, Oikya NAP President Advocate S M Sabur, Bangladesh Mahila Parishad's president Fauzia Moslem and Dhaka University Prof Dr. M M Akash, among others, spoke at the discussion.
Moni Sinha-Farhad Memorial Trust president Shekhar Dutta conducted it.
“We have to adopt the political ideology of Pankaj Bhattacharya to uphold the history of independence of the country,” said Ramendu Majumder who presided over the event.
Other speakers said that the evil forces are hatching conspiracy to destroy the history of the great Liberation War. They urged all to remain alert against conspirators who want to abolish the true history of 1971 liberation war.
