DHAKA, Jan 11, 2024 (BSS) - 'Air Quality Research and Environmental Policy 
Discussion' will be held at Dhaka University (DU) tomorrow. 

U.S. Embassy in Dhaka is going to organise the discussion at the Faculty of 
Science, University, DU, at 9 am.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan will speak 
at the meeting. 

This discussion will bring together leading academic researchers to discuss 
recent findings on and strategies for improving air quality in Bangladesh, a 
ministry press release said. 

Two visiting academics - Dr Benjamin de Foy from Saint Louis University, USA, 
and Dr Jill Baumgartner from McGill University, Canada, will deliver keynote 
research presentations.

Esteemed local academic researchers will also present their research.

Following the academic presentations, the group will seek to build consensus 
on recommendations to improve air quality in Bangladesh.
