PANCHAGAR, Jan 25, 2025 (BSS)- Senior Secretary to the Home Ministry Nasimul Gani today said that the police will start working together keeping hand in hand with the people very soon.

“The frightened police will be able to overcome the situation soon, and the government is trying to reinforce their mental strengthen to work as public friend,” he said while inaugurating the beautification work of Panchagar Railway Station here.

Home Secretary said the government has taken steps to bring the members of the police force personnel who have done misdeed. At the same time the government is trying to reorganize the police force, he said adding that it will take time to complete the task.

“Many countries abolished their all forces after revolution. But, we’re not going in this way as they are the sons of this soil.”

“In a dangerous situation they have committed offence, and for this, they are facing punishment,” he added.

Among others, central coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Students Movement Sargis Alam, local Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Sabet Ali, Police Super (SP) Mizanur Rahman, Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Adam Shafi, Convenor of Poura BNP and former mayor of Panchagar municipality Tawhidul Islam and Jamaat leader Nazim Uddin, were present.

Earlier, the Home Secretary inaugurated the beautification work of Panchagar Railway Station by cutting ribbon.
