Land adviser for ensuring sustainable digitized land services

DHAKA, Jan 28, 2025 (BSS) - Land adviser Ali Imam Majumdar today called upon all concerned to work with dedication to ensure a sustainable digitized land services across the country.

He also suggested for proper use of the knowledge gained in ‘training in public service’ to sustain one’s respective existence, saying, “Positive image of the ministry will have to be created among people by providing them real services.”

The land adviser was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the “Officers/Employees Orientation Training Programme on the 2nd version of newly created/improved software for people-friendly automated land services” at the conference room of the Bhumi Bhaban here today.

"The person who will work behind the devices to provide digitized services will also have to perform his duties with honesty,” the adviser told the meeting.

Noting that people's lives are closely related to land management, he said people’s right to land is universal and the government has taken the digitization activities in land services to ensure this right.
 
“This is a timely initiative to simplify land services. The socio-economic livelihood of many people is directly affected by the transparency, security and modernization of land management,” the adviser added.

Referring to the frequent visit of the people to the Union Land Office and Upazila Land Office as well as AC Land Office for land services, Ali Imam Majumdar said, “Therefore, the social and economic structure of the country is very deeply related to land management.”

Earlier, he observed the exhibition of live survey activities through drones at the old Land Records and Survey Department and visited the 'Citizen Land Service Center' on the ground floor of the Bhumi Bhaban.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed urged the service-providers of the land ministry to ensure a sincere work so that service recipients should be treated well.

He also announced to provide ‘due honor’ for providing quality services for the service-seekers  

Land Reforms Board Chairman (Secretary) AJM Salauddin Nagri, Land Appeals Board Chairman (Secretary) Muhammad Ibrahim and senior officials concerned were present there.
