Jubo Mohila League holds triennial conference in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Oct 24, 2021 (BSS) - The triennial conference of Rangpur district
unit of Bangladesh Jubo Mahila League (BJML), an affiliate of Bangladesh
Awami League, was held at the conference room of Rangpur Chamber in the city
today.

General Secretary of BJML Professor Apu Ukil launched the conference in the
inaugural function presided over by President of district unit of Bangladesh
Juba Mahila League Advocate Ferdousi Rahman.

Central committee member of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) and former
lawmaker Advocate Hosne Ara Lutfa Dalia attended the conference as the chief
guest.

Vice-president of BJML Sarmin Jahan Mary attended the occasion as the
keynote speaker.

Professor Apu Ukil said, "I have arranged Bangladesh Juba Mahila League
like my child. As a mother does not want her child to suffer, I also do not
want that leaders and workers of the organisation, who are like my children,
would suffer," she said.

"So those who want to come to the committee and to earn money should not
come to our organisation," she said.

Recalling the memories of the one-eleven, Apu Ukil said, "When the leader
(Sheikh Hasina) was being taken to jail, the members of the BJML went to stop
the vehicle."

"We were in the front row that day. Members of my organisation have been
imprisoned even leaving newborn babies in the movement for the release of our
leader," she added.

President of Rangpur district AL Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, its General Secretary
Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju, city AL General Secretary Tushar Kanti Mandal,
BJML Central Committee Members Saika Zahid Ripa and Nasima Akhter Happy,
