DHAKA, Feb 3, 2025 (BSS) - Primary and Mass Education Adviser Prof. Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder today said Saraswati Puja plays a crucial role in fostering a knowledge-based humane society as the festival upholds the values of wisdom and humanity.

“Saraswati is the goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and the arts. Worshipping Saraswati means worshipping knowledge and arts, and through the pursuit of these, individuals can become truly humane,” he said. 

The adviser was addressing as the chief guest at ‘Bani Archana’ ceremony at the Ramna Kali temple in the capital Dhaka, organized by the Bangladesh Secretariat Puja Celebration and Welfare Council.

Chaired by the organization's President, Gyan Ranjan Pal, Additional Secretary to Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Pradip Kumar Mahottam and General Secretary Anup Kumar Baroi also addressed the programme, among others.

Earlier, adviser Dr. Poddar attended a "Bani Archana" ceremony at the Officers’ Club premises in Dhaka as special guest. The event featured with unveiling of the "Mangalalok Smaranika," the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and the handing over of cheques to the family members of martyrs of July uprising.
