CHATTOGRAM, Feb 5 , 2025 ( BSS)- A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Chittagong Independent University (CIU) and Youngone Corporation- a South Korean industrial giant,  has been signed here today. 

Vice Chancellor of CIU Dr. M M Nurul Abser and Chairman of the Youngone Corporation Kihak Sung singed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at a brief ceremony held at CIU’s auditorium at Jamal Khan Road campus in the city. 

CIU officials said that the MoU was signed between two organizations aiming to foster  collaboration to achieve academic excellence and industrial engagement through curriculum development, improving the skills of faculties, provide internship and scholarship to the students of CIU. 

Speaking the function, Kihak Sung said apart from providing support for the overall development of CIU , he will play his role to establish sustainable partnership between CIU and leading South Korean higher academic institution – the  Seoul National University so that teaching staffs and students of both sides could work together to cope up themselves with advanced world. 

Chairman of CIU Board of Trustee Lutfe M Ayub, leading industrial entrepreneur and CIU Trustee Syed Mahmudul Huq ,among others, spoke at the function.  

CIU trustees Mirza Salman Ispahani , Amir Humayun Mahmud Chowdhury , M A Salam , CIU faculty members , senior officials of Korean Export Processing Zone and Youngone Corporation were also  present at the function.
