MADARIPUR, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) - Two siblings went missing while taking bath in the Kumar river of Tarmugaria area in Sadar upazila here today.

The missing siblings were Kulsum Akhter, 11, and Minhaj, 7, students of a local madrasha and children of Liton Matubbar of the same area.

The two siblings went to the river for taking bath this afternoon after returning from madrasa without informing their parents and went missing while taking a bath around 1 pm, family sources said.

Being informed, a fire service diver team rushed to the spot started searching for them, said Liaqat Hossain, leader of the team.

The diver team is working to rescue them and the children could not be rescued till 5 pm.
