MYMENSINGH, Feb 6, 2025 (BSS) - Three persons, who reportedly drank excessive 
liquor last night, died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and Gafargaon 
Upazila Health Complex this morning.

The deceased were Sumon Mia, 35, son of Abdur Rashid and Abdul Jalil, 42, son 
of Rafiqul Islam, residents of Tumpara Mudipara village under Charalgi union 
in Gafargaon upazila and Nizam Uddin, 38, hailed from Brahmanbaria district.

Two died at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital while another died at 
Gafargaon Upazila Health Complex this morning.

Another man Masud is undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College 
Hospital.

After dinner, the four friends drank local alcohol at a house in the village 
and after some time, all of them fell sick, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of 
Gafargaon police station Muhammad Shibirul Islam.
