CHATTOGRAM, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a number of drives arrested a total of 20 leaders and activists of Awami League, Chattra League, and Jubo League for attacking protestors during the student-led mass uprising in July and August last year.
A team of CMP conducted drives in different areas of the port city in the last 24 hours ending at 2 pm today.
The detained leaders and activists of Awami League and its front organizations are accused of the cases filed under the anti-terrorism act for attacks and other criminal activities during the student-led mass uprising, said additional deputy commissioner (media) of CMP Mahmuda Begum.
