KHAGRACHARI, Feb 10, 2025 (BSS) – CHT Affairs Adviser Supradip Chakma today said the current government didn’t come to power forever rather they will leave office as soon as the election is held.
He made the remark at a view-exchange meeting after inaugurating the extension of a building here in the Sadar Upazila Parishad this afternoon.
"I’ve been doing basic work, diplomacy for a long time. The government is very generous, it has made a person like me from the hills as a diplomat. This has been possible because the people of this country believe in diversity,” said the adviser.
He added, “Along with Bengalis, those who are in the hills, have given this diversity. So this diversity must be maintained.”
Khagrachari Deputy Commissioner ABM Iftekharul Islam Khandaker, Superintendent of Police Arefin Jewel, Zila Parishad Chairman Jiruna Tripura, and Khagrachari District BNP General Secretary MN Abshar spoke at the meeting.
Later, a meeting on District Law and Order Committee was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Speaking as the chief guest at the meeting, Supradip Chakma called upon all concerned to work together to maintain the law and order situation in the district.
