DHAKA, Feb 10, 2025 (BSS) - The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of
Bangladesh (ICSB) has organised an orientation programme for the students of
second batch of ICSB Chattogram Branch (55th Batch) of the Chartered
Secretary (CS) Course yesterday.
The orientation programme was held at Chattogram Branch of ICSB at CDA Avenue
in East Nasirabad (in hybrid mode).
The inaugural session was attended by a good number of students, said a press
release here today.
Chairman of Chattogram Regional Chapter Sub-Committee of the Institute Md.
Delowar Hossain moderated the programme, it added.
Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, council member and chairman of examination
committee of ICSB, provided an overview of the course and examination
process.
He briefly explained the prospects of the Chartered Secretary profession and
assured about extending constant cooperation.
Md. Sharif Hasan, council member of ICSB welcomed the new students and
focused on the importance of this profession.
He appreciated all aspiring chartered secretaries for taking the right
decision, which will not only accelerate their professional growth but also
contribute to the nation's economic growth.
While delivering the speech, M Nurul Alam, acting president of ICSB, conveyed
profound admiration and honour to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives
during the anti-discrimination students' movement and prayed for the recovery
of the injured citizens.
He extended a warm welcome to all newly admitted students, and highlighted
the career prospect of chartered secretary profession.
Alam then officially inaugurated the second Batch of ICSB Chattogram Branch
(55th Batch) of the Chartered Secretary (CS) Course.
Mohammad Sanaullah, council member and former president and Salim Ahmed,
council member of ICSB, were present while Rajib Saha, AMM Myeen Uddin
Mazumder and Md. Abul Kalam Azad also spoke.
Later, Secretary and CEO of the ICSB Md Zakir Hossain gave the vote of
thanks.
