IU Natore Students Welfare Association welcomes freshers' at orientation prog

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, Feb 18, 2025 (BSS)- Natore Students Welfare
Association (NSWA) of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia today organised an
orientation programme for the newly-admitted first-year (honours) students
under 2023-2024 academic session amid festivity and fanfare.

The event was held at the ground floor of the Teacher-Student Cultural Center
(TSCC) at the university.

Professor Shahabul Alam of Islamic History and Culture Department addressed
the event as the chief guest while Assistant Proctor Prof Abdul Bari and Prof
ATM Mizanur Rahman of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology were present as
special guests.

Mehedi Hasan, president of Natore Students Welfare Association, presided over
the function.

During the orientation programme, guests welcomed fresher students of 2023-24
academic session and bid farewell to the elders.

Prof Mizanur Rahman thanked students for organising such an event and urged
them to create a virtual community to bring everyone under one platform.

He also expressed his wish to organise a programme at Dhaka with the students
of Islamic University.

Commemorating the culture of Natore, the chief guest said, "We always try to
prioritize our students' demands. All you need to do is share your problem
with us. We could do it or not, that is another issue but you will see our
sincerity."

He urged students to rise to the challenges of modern times and work toward
creating a just and inclusive future.

Later, a cultural function was held.
