SATKHIRA, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and 12 others were injured in a road accident at Circuit House crossing in the district town here early this morning.

The deceased was Sahadat Hossain, son of Safikul Islam, a resident of Itna upazila in kishoreganj district.

The accident took place around 4:30 am when a bus hit a roadside tree as its driver lost control over the steering due to dense fog, leaving its helper and 12 passengers injured, said Saminul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Satkhira Sadar Police Station.

The injured were sent to different hospitals.

Critically injured bus helper Sahadat died on the way to Dhaka this noon.
