MoU signed between CVASU and UVAS 

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 20, 2025 (BSS) - A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) and University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) of  Pakistan for mutual cooperation in education and research.

The agreement was signed between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of CVASU and Faculty of Veterinary Science of UVAS for three years last evening.

Khalilur Rahman, Senior Deputy Director of Public Relations and Publication of Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University confirmed the matter today.

The MoU signing ceremony was held virtually. CVASU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman and Dean (Additional Responsibilities) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine signed the MoU on behalf of CVASU. 

Under the agreement, students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of CVASU will get opportunity to do a one-month internship in Pakistan. There is an opportunity to renew this agreement later, said Khalilur Rahman.

CVASU VC Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman said, “91 students of the first semester of the 5th year of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) of CVASU will be divided into two groups and will go to the university in Pakistan in July/August for an internship under this agreement.”
 
Similarly, students of the Faculty of Veterinary Science of UVAS of Pakistan will also be able to do a one-month internship at CVASU in Bangladesh.
 
During the internship, the students of CVASU will be able to undergo clinical practice and hands-on training in medicine, surgery, etc. under the supervision of teachers from the Pakistani university. 
 
In addition, they will get the opportunity to gain practical knowledge about dairy and poultry production by visiting various dairy and poultry farms, hatcheries and research labs of UVAS. 
 
Similarly, the interns coming to CVASU from UVAS will also get the opportunity to undergo hands-on training at CVASU main campus and the Pet Hospital in Dhaka. 
 
Under this agreement, the two universities will exchange research materials, publications, academic information and will organize joint research programs and academic conferences for the purpose of education, research and professional development;
