DHAKA, March 2, 2025 (BSS) - Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder today urged the land officials to set up example for the future generation by rendering better services.
"The main cause of social or family disputes in our country is land and the Almighty has given all people rights to this land," he said while addressing the concluding and certificate giving ceremony of the 38th Survey and Settlement Training Course-25 at the Bhumi Bhaban in city's Tejgaon area.
A total of 81officers from the Administration, Police, Forest and Bangladesh Judicial Services under the Public Service Commission (PSC) joined the training course.
There are many challenges in the land sector now, Ali Imam Majumder said and urged the officials to follow the rules and regulations of the state all time.
He also urged the officials to be more careful in leasing out the government lands.
"You have to remember that you are engaged in state responsibilities and have to work maximum for the country," he said.
The adviser instructed the concerned authorities to recast the existing training syllabus in the context of present time.
The government has already entered into the digital land services arena so that all sorts of digital services, including digital survey and digital mapping, should be incorporated in the next training course, he added.
Director General (DG) of the Land Records and Survey Directorate Dr Md Mahmud Hassan chaired function while Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed, Chairman of the Land Reforms Board AJM Salahuddin Nagri and Chairman of the Land Appeal Board Muhammad Ibrahim addressed the function as special guests.
The Land Adviser and other guests later awarded certificates to the participants of the training course.
