DHAKA, Mar 08, 2025 (BSS) – The two-day national tech festival
‘Inventious 4.1’ ends today at the Military Institute of Science
and Technology (MIST) in the Dhaka Cantonment.
The MIST Innovation Club (MIC) organized the event under the
supervision of the Research and Development Wing of MIST,
said an ISPR press release this afternoon.
MIST Commandant Major General Md. Nasim Parvez, graced
the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The event successfully concluded after two days of
competitions, innovation, and leadership, bringing together
students from across the country to advance the Fourth
Industrial Revolution (4IR).
Paying tribute to Shaheed Yamin and Shaheed Rakib, the two
MIST students who sacrificed their lives in the July-August
Student Mass Movement, the chief guest called upon the
youth to honor their legacy through dedication and
perseverance.
He emphasized that innovation and leadership will shape a
brighter future, as true success lies in pushing boundaries and
embracing change.
Eminent speakers, including Professor Dr Khondaker Al
Mamun, Director of IRIIC, and Taufiqur Rahman, 'Device
Innovation Expert' of a2i, also spoke on the occasion, the
release said.
The festival featured four major competitions: Hackathon, Lead
the Future, User Interface Design Competition, and Project
Showcasing, where participants demonstrated remarkable
ingenuity, technical skills, and strategic thinking.
In the Hackathon, IUT emerged as the Champion, while BAIUST
secured the Runner-Up position. In Lead the Future, NSU
claimed the Champion title with MIST finishing as the Runner-
Up. The User Interface Design Competition saw Md Rohan, UIU
taking the top spot, followed by Nufsat Faruque, IUT as the
Runner-Up.
The Project Showcasing event witnessed an exceptional display
of talent, where IUT was crowned Champion and MIST secured
the Runner-Up position. While these teams were recognized for
their outstanding performances, every participant was
celebrated as a champion in the pursuit of knowledge and
innovation.
The Chief Guest extended gratitude to the judges, organizers,
sponsors and volunteers for making the festival a success.
