BHOLA, March 15, 2025(BSS) - A total of 2,89,570 children in the district were fed vitamin A plus capsules today as part of `The National Vitamin-A Plus Campaign 2025'.  

Dr Md. Monirul Islam, Civil Surgeon of Bhola district, inaugurated the campaign at 8:00am in the district.  

Children aged between 6 and 11 months were administered blue Vitamin-A plus capsule each, while children aged between 12 and 59 months were fed red capsule. 

A total of 271 health assistant, 127 workers of family planning department, 221 CHCP and 2,216 volunteers were engaged at 3,369 centers across the district. 

Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Monirul Islam said, "Upazila health and family planning officials, along with health department officials, worked in their respective upazilas."

To ensure the success of the event, a mobile team worked in riverine areas, and with the coordination of volunteers, a campaign was conducted at bus stations and launch terminals, he added.
