DHAKA, March 17, 2025 (BSS) – The Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Dhaka,
Ambassador Tracey Ann Jacobson, paid a courtesy call on Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Mohammad Ejaz at his office here today.
During the meeting, they discussed collaborative efforts on waste management, waterlogging reduction, air pollution prevention, dengue control, establishment of a blue network, and canal development within the DNCC's jurisdiction.
Additionally, cooperation on reducing traffic congestion and improving communication infrastructure in Dhaka city was also discussed in the meeting.
DNCC Administrator Mohammad Ejaz said, "Bangladesh's relations with the United States are very close and friendly. DNCC will work jointly with the United States on various development initiatives."
He mentioned that Dhaka city has many small and large canals, and the incumbent government has taken steps to establish a blue network across the city through their development.
Ejaz further stated that DNCC is keen to collaborate with the United States to enhance the blue network by improving the canals within DNCC areas.
DNCC Chief Executive Officer Abu Sayeed Md Kamruzzaman was also present at the meeting.
