DHAKA, March 20, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,630 cases for traffic rules violation during a drive conducted in different areas of the capital on Wednesday.
The information was confirmed in a press release issued here today signed by deputy commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the DMP, Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines on March 19 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, said the release.
The DMP release added that 223 motor vehicles were dumped and 90 vehicles were towed during the drive.
It further said the drive will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
